ALONG WITH SHARING THE GOSPEL AND DISCIPLING, WE BELIEVE THAT SERVING OTHERS (WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF THE CHURCH) IN LOVE IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDS CHRIST GIVES HIS PEOPLE: "LOVE ONE ANOTHER."
Praying for one another is one of the ways that we serve others in love. At Unity we have a group of members who faithfully pray for the needs of our members, their family members, our community, and our world. Our church uses the Group Me App as a tool to share our prayer requests and concerns with one another. While it is not accessible to the public (for security purposes), members may request access at UNITYBAPTIST@SUDDENLINKMAIL.COM Please feel free to submit your prayer requests HERE.
Junior Future Leaders of the Church (4th-6th Grade)
Come join us for fellowship and fun on Sundays (Sunday School at 9:30 am) and Wednesdays (6 pm)!
Our FLOC (Future Leaders of the Church) is a very important ministry. We teach our youth the importance of getting involved in the church, and they are encouraged to be leaders. Our youth help lead our mission trips, they serve as mentors to the younger children in our church and also understand the importance of serving in our own community. Our Youth Leaders are Mr. Chris and Mrs. Bethany Preece
The Young Adult Ministry is an exciting group to be apart of. This is the age when you start setting yourself up for a lifetime of choices. Join in fellowship with people your age and dive into the Word together.
We have a ladies' Sunday school class (Kindred Spirits) and an annual ladies' retreat. Our ladies have great fellowship and offer a support system for each other. We have ladies' luncheons throughout the year and plan other events as well.
Men's Ministry is a ministry dedicated for the fellowship of men. There is a men's Sunday school class. We plan events throughout the year such as men's breakfasts and fishing tournaments.
We cherish our senior citizens and the foundation they have provided for our future. There is a senior adult Sunday school class, and we offer events and activities for them as well. We have quarterly luncheons and participate community events throughout the year.
ONE OF OUR GOALS FOR THIS YEAR (2022) IS TO PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER HOW THE LORD WOULD HAVE US INCREASE OUR MISSION EFFORTS TO SHARE HIS LOVE WITH THOSE HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD. BELOW YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT SOME OF THE MISSIONS WE CURRENTLY SERVE.
Throughout the year we collect nonperishable items for a local foodbank in our area. Donating to God's Food Box is one way we hope to share God's love within our community. If you are interested in learning more about God's Food Box,
In the fall, Unity Baptist Church serves as the Drop Off location for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes in the DeRidder area. Serving in this capacity allows us to work with other churches and individuals the community to share God's love abroad.
